The Journey Continues: We have been given the opportunity to live in Manila for the next three years! Grace will be taking on a new role as Finance Manager and I will continue suffering as an ex-pat spouse. But seriously, I'm hoping to do some work and keep my PT brain and hands going so I don't forget everything. A great place to come and visit. We'd love to have you over or meet up somewhere in Asia.

2016 Elections
The Philippines is also gearing up for this year's presidential elections which will take place on May 9th. Speaking to locals here reveals just how much doubt and skepticism surround this country's politics. The main topic: corruption. The front-running female candidate Grace Poe has already been temporarily disqualified during her campaign because of "mud-slinging" that questioned her nationality and citizenship issues. Many, if not most, "barangays" or local districts will receive monetary incentives to vote (for a particular candidate). Money is power. Power is money. Hopefully there will be someone who rises to the top and makes significant changes to the way politics has traditionally worked in the Philippines.
