Bali

Spent 5 days in Bali with the Yi's. One of the nice things about being in Manila is that you can travel to a lot of different countries in Asia. We're centrally located and a 3.5 hour flight to places like China, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Uncle Joe is on a business trip to Shanghai so he was able to take some time off to join us.

Stayed in a 3-bedroom villa at the Seminyak Suites. This was our front patio area which included a private pool. Very nice and quiet way to settle into Bali.

It is very evident to see how much art is reflected in the Indonesian culture. It seems like there are decorative flowers, statues, paintings, and flags everywhere you go.

First trip was to the Bali Zoo. Of course the boys had a great time seeing all the animals.

Chase up close and personal with an eagle.

Somehow they were all dressed in red. Posing with an iguana. Not sure how they trained it to stay on this tree.

The boys got to hand feed fruits and vegetables to this elephant.

Toby in his Bali vacation hat.

Moved over to the Bali W Hotel for the last two nights. This is a NICE hotel. The pool and outdoor restaurant area is exceptionally well done.

Cabanas on the edge of the beach at the W.

Couldn't get the boys out of the pool. They got to lounge around on these big floating pillows.

At the beach just in front of the W. Yup. They pretty much had this whole section to themselves.

Took a trip to Nusa Dua which is a beach area in Southern Bali. Not a bad view. The boys were busy catching small crabs along the shore. Was tough to get them back into the car.

Customary beach photo that I make the boys pose for.

We visited a temple area called Uluwatu. Not a bad place to pray and meditate I'd say.

This monument is perched on the edge of the cliff. A very popular place to visit especially at sunset.

A rare picture with all of us. Thanks to our driver Ketut. Everyone had to wear customary yellow or purple fabric. Since Joe and I were wearing shorts, Ketut told us it would be more proper to wear the drape as a skirt.

3/4 of the Yi's. The view from this walkway is pretty amazing. Looking straight down into the Indian Ocean.

Need more pictures of Grace and I. I guess it's tough when I'm usually the one with the camera. What a nice looking couple :)

Me and Joe with our vacation outfits on. We were actually given these shirts to temporarily wear for lunch at a restaurant that didn't allow tank tops.

Bali sunset. Enough said.
