This is what comes to mind when I think of Japan :) But the people here (much like in the Philippines) can look very different from each other. I'm breaking down my own stereotypes.
SO many vending machines in Japan.
First stop in Tokyo has to be here. Pokemon store on steroids. Those bags look deceptively small in this picture.
If there's an aquarium (or zoo) in town, we'll find it. This one in Ikebukuro was small but very nice. Lots of unique sea life we haven't seen at other places.
Oh yeah. Lots of good eats. Namazukou Sushi. This conveyor belt (kaiten) sushi place in Shinjuku was very tasty and reasonably priced.
Outdoor eating. You bet. Fresh fish cake and noodles on the street.
Shinjuku. Lots of neon lights. Business folks walking up and down the streets with Starbucks in hand. Crowded. Clean. Organized.
