Nepal


There is of course a lot of news in this area about the recent earthquake in Nepal. I don't know if it's because we live here now, but it sure seems like there are a lot of natural disasters occurring in Asia. When you have areas with poor infrastructure it's like knocking down a house of cards. I think it has been a wake up call for many neighboring countries to be more prepared for both earthquakes and tsunamis. Yes, it could happen here too. It has been good to see a multitude of outreach efforts here in the Philippines for the people in Nepal. Even in the lobby of our building there is a donation basket - the handwritten note looks like it belongs to an elementary school student.
