Our school hosted an international rugby tournament this weekend and I was part of the medical team that was covering the matches. This is the first time I've ever watched a full rugby match. I still don't understand many of the rules. Being in the medical tent and watching all these games was a bit nerve-racking. I imagine it's kinda like being a lifeguard at a water park. Your brain is constantly on high-alert and you feel drained at the end of the day. Fortunately, we didn't have a single case that needed to be sent to the ER. But, I did see enough nasty turf burns to make me not want to eat meat for a few days. I also realized a couple of things: (1) Chase and Toby will not be allowed to try out for rugby (2) This is one of the craziest sports out there. Here's a couple of short videos on the madness:
