NZ Part III

The last leg of our journey took us to Mt. Cook which is the highest peak of the southern alps. There is a rapidly growing wine country we got to visit along the way called the Gibbston Valley. Famous for its Pinot Noir, we got to try some and it was pretty delicious. We'll start looking for NZ wines when we get back home. Another stop on our journey was Lake Pukaki. This is the most incredible turquoise-colored lake I have ever seen. Turns out that the lake gets its color from finely eroded rock particles flowing down from Mt. Cook. We got an up close and personal view of Mt. Cook and the Tasman Glacier. We even got to touch and taste some icebergs in the Tasman Glacier Lake. Heading back to Manila tomorrow. We are trying to enjoy the chilly 15 degree weather and breath in as much fresh, crisp air as possible. #nzisawesome #kiwilovers #bestmilkandtapwater
