Bye Bye Ascott

We finally have the green light to move out of the hotel and into our permanent apartment! We're looking forward to moving to the Fort (a city just 10 minutes south of the Makati Business District, but still all a part of Metro Manila). Being closer to the school will be one of the best things about being at our new place. I'm sure we will miss the daily cleaning service, free breakfast, and having the mall downstairs. But it will be nice to really unpack our suitcases. We have a shipment coming in next week from California (but it still needs to clear customs) and our stuff from Angola is still sitting in a container there. Probably collecting a lot of dust and mold. Maybe we'll see those things in another six months. The kids are a little sad to leave the hotel. They asked if we could live there for three years. We explained the math to them and I think Chase kinda gets it.
