Technology

Maybe I'm just way behind the times. My excuse is that I've been living in Africa for the past 3 years. Sticking to it. But there are some cool things that just seem very novel to me. Here's one example. This is a picture of an underground parking lot at the mall. Might be hard to see in the picture but each parking stall has a sensor and light above it. Red lights shine above the occupied spots and green lights above vacant spots. When it's not crowded I guess it doesn't make a difference (although maybe it keeps track of the number of cars and where/how long they have been parked?). But when you're circling around from row to row when it's busy, looking for a green light would sure make it easier to find a spot. Too easily amused?
