Obama Visit

The President is coming to town today for the last stop of his Asia Tour. There are a lot of American flags being displayed on the streets of Manila, especially in the business district and military posts. He's supposed to lay down a wreath at the American Memorial Cemetery which is not far from where we live. The Philippines has been in the news lately for its tension with the Chinese military so it's probably a timely visit from President Obama. On an average day there is a police officer on just about every intersection (big or small) in Manila. Needless to say the presence of the police will be multiplied big time over the next couple days. Proud to be an American living in the Philippines!
