Bamboo Bridge

This is the city of Kampong Cham. There is a popular tourist attraction that we stopped by to visit. It's a bridge to a small island made out of bamboo. It crosses part of the Mekong River which may be a familiar name since the Vietnam War. It's built every year and then gets taken down after the rainy season when the water level rises above the bridge. It's been rebuilt every year for the past 10 years. We walked across to the other side. But there are many ways you can cross and different prices for the toll fee. Yes, the bridge can even support huge SUV's. Really cool.
