Toul Srae

This is the village where we spent two days working at a local school. The CHAD group has not started a formal project in this area but they have gained some initial interest from the community. Our team was able to provide health and hygiene training as well as toilet construction and painting.  One of our team members Rebecca is a nurse with a public health background. She organized a presentation on simple ways to prevent sickness and disease - handling food, disposing of garbage, hand washing, signs of infection, and even making a homemade mosquito catcher out of a plastic bottle. Many of the mothers of the school children were present and were very appreciative for the information. As the community members see the love and care offered by the CHAD group, hopefully they will become regular partners in the future. It was a great opportunity for us to serve them in some practical ways.
