The Journey Continues: We have been given the opportunity to live in Manila for the next three years! Grace will be taking on a new role as Finance Manager and I will continue suffering as an ex-pat spouse. But seriously, I'm hoping to do some work and keep my PT brain and hands going so I don't forget everything. A great place to come and visit. We'd love to have you over or meet up somewhere in Asia.

Mount Banahaw
Drove an hour south of Manila and went on a mountain biking trip with a couple of Grace's co-workers. We climbed up this peak that reminded me a lot of Mt. Diablo. There are some radio towers at the top that look like they are just ahead, but then seem endlessly unapproachable as you get closer to the top. Along the way we passed through pockets of small farming villages. Very rural and kinda what I imagine the Philippines to look like outside of the city. Many people would see us riding up and say "good morning". When I had my breath, I would greet them as well. Other times, I would pedal slowly by gasping for air. This was our view at the top of the ride. Across the way is Mount Banahaw. A pretty impressive landscape. It looks like there's steam coming out of the top of it, but they're only clouds. It was a great ride, although my butt would probably disagree with me.
