Spreading some Christmas cheer at San Lazaro Hospital. This hospital was founded in 1557 and is one of the oldest in the country. In the past 30 years it has become a government subsidized facility that specializes in infectious and communicable diseases. About 80% of the patients receive free health care. They are referred here from all parts of the country and generally qualify as the poorest of the poor. We spent the morning in the pediatric wing. Sharing stories, singing carols, and giving out gift bags. Blessed to be a part of it...
