City of Dreams

A new casino and entertainment resort has opened in Manila. City of Dreams is a joint venture between some very rich folks from Australia, Macau, and the Philippines. SM Investments is the main partner based in the Philippines. They also happen to be one of the major players in the geothermal business. Henry Sy (founder of SM Investments) is the biggest baller in the entire country. He pretty much exhales pesos. I didn't realize that Macau (just across the way from Hong Kong) is a former Portuguese colony that is now one of the world's richest cities and largest gambling centers in the world. Bom dia! Tudo bem? Maybe we'll get to visit someday since Hong Kong is on the bucket list. I don't know if we'll swing by the City of Dreams anytime soon although DreamWorks is planning to build a theme park inside. There's also a Nobu restaurant and hotel there which could be an extravagant destination for our next date night ;)
