The picture needs some explaining. I was told that I had to wear a collared shirt even though it's a very informal public course. The guy goes into a closet and pulls out this shirt for me to wear - neon flower print a couple sizes too small. Okay, whatever. In order to get started earlier I get paired up with another single player - turns out he looks a lot like my father in law! Halfway through the round we got to sit for a quick snack. Turns out he's a pastor (good thing I hadn't shouted out any expletives). So we ended up having a lot of things to chat about. My wardrobe wasn't one of them although I'm sure he was thinking my outfit was hobo-like. Taking pictures (especially selfies) is rampant here in the Philippines so I asked for his permission to take a photo together (I guess I'm becoming Filipino-ized). Oh yeah, and when I went back to return the lovely shirt, the guy actually asked me for a rental fee! Really?! I almost fell over. I knew the money was going straight into his pocket but after throwing some attitude, I gave in anyways (after talking the price down of course).
The Journey Continues: We have been given the opportunity to live in Manila for the next three years! Grace will be taking on a new role as Finance Manager and I will continue suffering as an ex-pat spouse. But seriously, I'm hoping to do some work and keep my PT brain and hands going so I don't forget everything. A great place to come and visit. We'd love to have you over or meet up somewhere in Asia.
