The Journey Continues: We have been given the opportunity to live in Manila for the next three years! Grace will be taking on a new role as Finance Manager and I will continue suffering as an ex-pat spouse. But seriously, I'm hoping to do some work and keep my PT brain and hands going so I don't forget everything. A great place to come and visit. We'd love to have you over or meet up somewhere in Asia.

CWW
Classroom Without Walls. The entire 5th grade is off for a 3-day field trip to a small beach town called Subic. It's about a 4-hour drive from Manila. Even though Chase has been to sleepovers, this is definitely a step up. <tear> He was totally excited for this trip even though Grace and I were a bit sad about the thought of him leaving. He packed his own suitcase a couple days ago and this morning he was off. I jokingly said that I would volunteer as a parent chaperone. Chase was not amused. There actually aren't any parent chaperones invited. The teachers are brave souls. They'll get to enjoy a lot of cool learning activities including swimming with dolphins. Beats the field trips I used to go on to Chuck E Cheese's. Man, those creepy musical animals. Chase comes back on Friday and I'm sure he will be ecstatic with his new experience with independence. Our little Chasey...
