I'm not trying to elicit any sympathy here. I know I won't get any. Just wanted a chance to document and give a big shout-out to our helper Rose. She's been with us pretty much since the beginning of our journey here in Philippines. Her husband recently found a new job and needs to move out of the Manila area. So with tears, she informed us that she had to stop working with us. We wish her all the best as she starts a new chapter! Change is usually difficult. It will be a new start for both of us. We found out that one of Chase's classmates is moving back to Korea this summer, so we enquired about their house helper. After meeting with her (Rowena), we mutually agreed to have her start working with our family this fall. It's easy to take for granted just how much Rose has done for us. She has really become a part of our family. She knows our routine and all the big and small details that go into our day. But regardless, we are happy for her and her husband and are confident that this is a great new opportunity for them. So...in the meantime....

This is my first attempt at cooking breakfast in a long time...
And this intimidating panel is the washing machine. Hello laundry.
Oh, I miss rose too. She so nice, as soon as I seat morning coffee is on side table.
