{Sigh}

Yup. Went to Howzat and watched the game. Walked in (at 7:45AM) and there were about 50 Filipino 49ers fan there to watch the game (and maybe 2 or 3 Seattle fans). I was happy that the numbers weren't the other way around. And yes, there were high fives going around to strangers for most of the game. But a tough loss. And even tougher with Iupati and Bowman getting hurt. I woke up at 3:00AM this morning thinking about the interception in the end zone. I guess I'm not over it yet.

And to the Seattle defensive player who made a fool out of himself in the post-game interview: I understand that in professional sports one's character may not always be what counts the most, but you did some major damage to your identity and integrity. Sometimes that stuff comes back to haunt you.

Easy to cheer for the Broncos now. Especially Manning throwing to any receiver who is being covered by that guy.

  1. u must be quite upset if you cant refer to the seattle player by name. unfortunately, it appears he can back up his talk with his play. manning probably wont be throwing in his direction much - but any success at doing so will make a lot of ppl happy.

  2. Funny how time is therapeutically healing. Much better now.

    I think I'm turned off by any professional athlete (regardless of team or sport) who doesn't appreciate his/her unique position - getting paid to play a sport. And by appreciate, I guess I mean to acknowledge that it is a privilege and that retirement could be one injury away. That should naturally shape one's attitude towards themselves and their competitors.

    But again, these sort of idealistic standards differ from person to person and may not reflect everyone's point of view. Accepted.

    My interest in watching the Super Bowl is elevated just to see how the two teams play against each other.
