Avilon Zoo

Took a trip to the Avilon Zoo. These guys are always game to see animals. Now that it's rainy season the road to the zoo is almost impassable. 

Nothing like feeding chicken heads to giant freshwater fish. See the video below of the arapaima that are bigger than these guys feeding them.

Of course we had to have the cousins take a picture with Trixie. 

The zoo keepers let this giant boa constrictor hang out in the open while they watered the plants and cleaned the habitat. Pretty exciting to see it without the glass in between us. 

Yup. I would NOT want this job. Recess is over. He's gotta go back.

In all of our time in Africa we only saw one leopard. Very private animals. Weird to see one just hanging out in the open.

This huge orangutan was chillin'. He was watching us as intently as we were watching him. He even stuck out his hand to us and would occasionally blow us some kisses.
