Kambamba Update

Got a timely email. Some friends back in Angola have continued to visit Kambamba and solicit help from other ex-pats and local organizations. After some months of planning, they have started a small school that officially opened on June 2nd. There are currently 38 children who have received school uniforms and supplies. They also receive daily milk and bread which helps them concentrate on learning as opposed to their hungry tummies. A local teacher has been hired to provide them with basic educational instruction. Man. So good to see these pictures. Crazy that I actually recognize these kids and even know some of their names. Really, really, really happy for them. Unfortunately they are still waiting to be relocated which means living in very tightly packed sheet metal homes. Keeps things in perspective for me.
