Typhoon Glenda

Hi there...to all the 2 people that are reading this blog.  This is Grace.

I promised Charlie that I would continue this blog from time to time while he is on holiday in the US.  I told him that Jean & Mom, the 2 faithful readers will be with him so no need to write, but oh well, he asked me to do it.  So here I am.

First week by myself in Manila started out wonderful.  Lots of free time.  I got a haircut, went to spa, started a diet cleanse (on day 5 now!)...

First typhoon that has landed in Metro Manila hit last night!  Here we call it Typhoon Glenda.  I think in the other parts of the world it has a different name (not sure why).  Last night the Philippines declared this a Signal 3 Typhoon warning (highest) in Metro Manila.  There is a lot of wind & rain and flooding.  But luckily I am in a high rise condo, a safe distance from the ground and our condo has a generator which protects us from the brown out that most of manila is experiencing right now.  I feel pretty safe, although a bit unnerving since I am by myself.  Charlie & boys...enjoy the 80 deg weather in sunny california!!

I don't really know how to post pictures here so my posts may be a bit boring, but I will try that later. For now, here's a pic I found on the computer.  HP, if you are reading this, doesn't Tobes look like Ikey!!
