I guess Yahoo (and others) identifies what country you are logging in from to browse their website. I recently noticed advertisement banners that are from Filipino companies on the Yahoo home page. And every once in awhile you can scroll down and find a news article relevant to the Philippines. I found this one below which I thought was pretty interesting. It basically talks about the lack of infrastructure that is hindering the economic growth of the country. And it is definitely apparent here when you see all the construction and traffic and flooding and crowded public transportation. Much like Angola, the growth potential seems huge and the leadership will have their hands full over the next 10-20 years to strategically develop the country.
