Siam Ocean World

Of course we're gonna visit the local aquarium whenever we travel. Located right in the heart of downtown Bangkok is Siam Ocean World. We seem to use the Monterey Bay Aquarium as the standard which sets the bar very high. But we always seem to find unique creatures and exhibits that make it an exciting visit. Family favorites this time included seeing pipe fish, axolotl, nautilus, and sea otters.

What's most notable in this picture is that Toby seems to be catching up to Chase in height.

We got a behind the scenes tour of the aquarium. Got to see where and how they take care of everything including the sick and the babies. This was on a glass bottom boat where we got to go around and see the different tanks from above. Toby had a cup of raw shrimp to feed the fish.

There was a glass walkway above one of the large shark tanks. It was pretty freaky walking on it since it seemed like you would fall right in.
