Angolan Connection

There are now two families from Angola that recently moved to Manila for an ex-pat assignment. Grace actually worked with both of them when we were living in Angola. Small world. We got together for dinner. Funny how we totally feel comfortable being around Angolans. In some ways we even feel part Angolan. Also nice to hear them speak Portuguese and to be able to understand them. We got a lot of laughs talking about the struggles and challenges of living in Angola. They are enjoying the new environment here even though it's sometimes challenging to understand and speak English. But what a great experience for them. Not many of the Angolans get the opportunity to work abroad. The ones that are chosen will probably be the future leaders once they return home. Glad we could be here to support and encourage them.
