Seems a bit odd, but I guess when you live in Asia, there is a reason to celebrate the diversity of cultures that might otherwise be taken for granted. There were basically a lot of UK retail shops, travel agencies, and car companies that were involved in sponsoring this event. We happened to be walking through this area to go to the bookstore and saw all the hoopla going on. I remember seeing the same festival last year. I tried to get Chase to pose for this picture but he was refusing adamantly. Usually he's pretty tolerant when I bring out the camera phone, so I could tell this wasn't going to happen. He was only moderately bothered when I asked him to take a picture of me instead.
