Every Sunday there is an outdoor market right in the heart of Manila. Lots of goodies to see, smell, and taste even if you don't buy anything. The nice thing is that it's right across the street from UCM so we can easily walk there after service. There is a similar market that takes place on Saturdays just a few miles away in Salcedo Village (we've been to both and you'll find a lot of the same stuff). I was in a picture taking mood this weekend. From the looks of it, you wouldn't think you're in a developing country.
Lots of good BBQ
Fresh fish although not a whole lot of ice
Plenty of fruits and vegetables
Boys usually enjoy looking at the plants for sale
Some tasty Pad Thai (yes, I did have some for breakfast/brunch)
This jackfruit is HUGE (picture doesn't do it justice)
Hand carved wooden kitchenware
Fresh coconut juice (Grace's favorite)
Messenger bags made from recycled tires
Handmade jewelry of all shapes, colors, and sizes
